Karin graduated from Tufts University magna cum laude with a B.S. with highest thesis honors in chemical engineering. She then enrolled in the Medical Scientist Training Program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she completed her PhD thesis in Dr. Guha’s laboratory studying the immunomodulatory effects of low-intensity focused ultrasound in murine prostate and breast models. She earned an F30 (F30CA200411) from the NCI for her work. After graduation, she completed an internal medicine internship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT before returning to Montefiore Medical Center for her Radiation Oncology Residency.
